Owner & CEO

Johnson Kuruvilla is the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Fortress Security Group, where he leads the company’s strategic vision, operations, and growth initiatives. With more than 11 years of experience in the private security industry, including five years as a company owner, Johnson has developed a strong reputation for leadership, operational oversight, and building reliable security services for clients across the region.

Under his leadership, the company recently underwent a strategic rebranding to Fortress Security Group, reflecting a renewed focus on professionalism, operational excellence, and the delivery of high-quality security solutions.

Johnson also plays an active role in regional security collaboration and intelligence sharing. He serves as a North Texas Fusion Center Liaison Officer, working alongside public safety and intelligence partners to support information sharing and threat awareness. In addition, he is a member of InfraGard North Texas, a partnership between the private sector and federal law enforcement focused on protecting critical infrastructure and strengthening national security.

Through his leadership, Johnson remains committed to advancing professional standards in the private security industry, fostering strong partnerships with public safety agencies, and ensuring that Fortress Security Group delivers dependable, high-quality protection for its clients.

Donald Scrivener Jr.

Vice president & Chief hr

Donald Scrivener Jr. is the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer with over 35 years of experience leading strategic human capital initiatives, organizational development, and workforce transformation. In this role, he oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, and HR operations.

A trusted advisor to executive leadership, Donald partners across the organization to align people strategies with business objectives, strengthen organizational culture, and drive high-performance teams. He has a proven track record of building inclusive workplaces, implementing scalable HR programs, and leading change during periods of growth and transformation.

Prior to joining Fortress Security Group, Donald held senior leadership roles in the US Army, where he led enterprise-wide initiatives in workforce planning, and leadership development.

Donald is known for a collaborative leadership style and a strong commitment to developing talent, fostering employee well-being, and creating environments where people and organizations thrive.

Donald holds a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Averett University and is an active member of several professional organizations focused on advancing human resources leadership.

David Richardson

Chief Compliance Officer & Head of Training

David Richardson serves as the Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Training and Development for Fortress Security Group LLC, where he oversees regulatory compliance, officer training programs, and professional development initiatives. With over 23 years of combined experience in security operations and officer development, David brings extensive field knowledge and leadership to the organization.

A prior member of the Army National Guard, David developed a strong foundation in discipline, operational readiness, and leadership that continues to influence his approach to security management and training. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with security professionals at every level, helping build effective teams and operational standards that promote safety, accountability, and professionalism.

In addition to his leadership role at Fortress Security Group, David is a State of Texas Instructor and has consulted for multiple startup security companies, providing guidance on compliance, training systems, and operational development. As a former security company owner, he understands both the operational and business challenges within the private security industry.

David is committed to advancing professional standards in the security field by developing well-trained officers, promoting ethical practices, and implementing training programs that prepare security professionals to meet the evolving demands of the industry.

Steven Danforth

Director of operations

Steven Danforth is the Director of Operations at Fortress Security Group, LLC, where he leads daily operations, personnel oversight, and the strategic delivery of security services across the organization. In this role, he is responsible for upholding high operational standards while advancing the company’s mission to provide dependable, professional armed security services throughout Texas.

Prior to joining Fortress Security Group, Steven spent 18 years with the Allstate National Catastrophe Team, deploying nationwide to support communities and policyholders during major disaster events. This extensive experience strengthened his expertise in crisis management, operational coordination, and leadership in high-pressure environments.

In addition to his corporate and field experience, Steven is a former business owner, where he developed a strong foundation in business operations, client relations, and team leadership. His diverse background across large-scale operations, disaster response, and entrepreneurship informs his results-driven leadership style and unwavering commitment to professionalism and service.

Glenn Cebulak

Account manager

Glenn Cebulak brings over eight years of experience in security operations, personal protection, and specialized response team leadership. 

He holds multiple Texas state licenses, including Personal Protection Officer, Commissioned Security Officer, and Private Investigator.

In addition to his professional credentials, Glenn is a certified NRA Pistol Instructor and NRA Range Safety Officer. He is also trained in martial arts and maintains certifications in CPR, First Aid, and AED, ensuring a well-rounded approach to safety and emergency response.

Glenn currently manages the Fortress Security Group team responsible for providing 24/7 security operations at a secure facility in Central Texas. His leadership ensures consistent, high-level protection and operational readiness.

Throughout his career, Glenn has provided personal protection services for congressional candidates, dignitaries, high-profile political advocates, journalists, and actors. He has also supported advance team operations for both the Texas Governor and Lieutenant Governor, demonstrating his ability to operate effectively in high-profile and sensitive environments.
